hmmmm...wonder if there is a day of the year neither band played (I'd suspect Christmas day)

I don't think either band ever played on my birthday, January 9.

I suggest listening to your big day in dead history instead (first show, best show, last show) -- for me, it's the JGB at the Cape Cod Coliseum, May 1983, my first show.

it is a little strange that the GD never played a show on 8/9 - and with MANY a summer tour.
That said "The Dead" played this post Jerry show (its in LL)
